Op Art Bridget Riley and Victor Vasarely

Op art, also known as optical art, is a style of visual art that uses optical illusions. Op art works are typically abstract, with many of the most well-known pieces created in black and white. They typically give the viewer the impression of movement, hidden images, flickering and vibrating patterns, or swelling or warping. The Op art movement originated in the 1960s and the most important artists include Victor Vasarely and Bridget Riley.
